South Africa, March 22 – Soly has appointed the highly experienced Erika le Roux as Country Manager of Soly in South Africa. She will be responsible for the expansion of the business in South Africa.

We are thrilled to announce that Erika le Roux has been appointed as the new Country Manager of Soly in South Africa. With over 5 years of experience in the Renewable Energy field, Erika brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

As the Country Manager of South Africa, Erika will be responsible for leading and growing the business in the region, and help steer the South African business to great heights. With a deep understanding of the local market, she is well-positioned to identify new opportunities and develop strategies to provide solar solutions to all South Africans.

Erika has a deep passion for nature and taking care of the earth. “Being in the renewable energy industry is in alignment with who I am as a human being’’, Erika states in her introductory interview. She continues: “I am passionate about living an active, healthy lifestyle.’’

For Erika, it’s the holistic experience of taking care of the different aspects of what it means to be alive and cherish the different aspects of being human that drives her. Whether it is walking, swimming, reading, or self-development. But also, taking care of the world around us. “There is a massive opportunity for renewable energy in the South African energy market and Soly has an incredible business model that I believe will be part of the solution’’.

Sustainable accomplishments

Prior to joining Soly, Erika held various leadership positions. From financial services in both South Africa and London, to a Wind Development Group and later to an EPC focused on residential and commercial solutions for the South African market.

During Erika’s tenure as Group Financial Director at the Wind Development Group, one of the highlights was the negotiation of land leases with the Masai tribe in Kenya and Tanzania. “It was such an interesting dynamic to interact with these tribes, negotiate lease terms and do business in a totally different, more traditional way. The way these tribes are accustomed to’’. Erika also speaks proudly of the accomplishments at the EPC, where they have grown from small residential to large commercial and rolled out the business model nationally.
