Amsterdam, February 27, 2025 – An innovative feature helps households gain insight into their energy  consumption and save energy in a targeted way. The system, launched by Soly, one of the market  leaders in solar energy, offers around one hundred personalised recommendations, such as washing  at a lower temperature, replacing an old dryer, defrosting the freezer, or installing a smart  thermostat. On average, users can achieve a 6.4% reduction in their energy costs, directly lowering energy bills.

More than 100 actionable insights 
The system analyses energy consumption and categorizes it into areas such as heating, cooling, and  standby power. Based on these insights, users receive personalized tips. Van der Meulen explains:  "We have formulated more than 100 concrete recommendations, ranging from simple actions like  defrosting a freezer to larger steps such as purchasing a more efficient dryer. This makes energy  savings accessible and achievable for everyone."
